This chapter covers the common features of VisXpert Drivers. In the driver-specific chapters describe only the specific features as well as the required hardware and software installation for the Drivers.

What are drivers In VisXpert?

those modules are referred to as drivers whose main purpose is to exchange data via different interfaces between VisXpert and various devices.

What drivers are there?

VisXpert supports several types of drivers:

• OPC (now called “Classic” by the OPC-Foundation)
• OPC-UA
• Simatic (300, 400, 1200 and 1500 series plc, but only “Non Optimized” blocks)
• Allen Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Micrologix, SLC, PLC5 and the new Micro800)
• Modbus (Modbus-TCP)
